Once dining plans are available again, if you are renting points from DVC Shop, you may add your Disney Dining Plan to your DVC reservation at the time of booking or up until 7 days prior to your check-in date. Keep in mind that once they return, Disney Dining Plans will likely look somewhat different than what you see below and prices may not be the same. This plan is redeemable at over Disney park and resort locations — no reservations required!
Dining Plan options and pricing are subject to change. Updated plans and pricing have not yet been announced. Dining Plans must be added to your rental at least 7 days before the start of your stay , but adding them as early as possible is recommended.
When dining plans officially return, DVC Shop will keep you informed with the latest plan options and pricing. If you are choosing a plan that includes table service dining, whether or not it is a character dining experience, it is always encouraged to make a reservation ahead of time.
Dining reservations can be made 60 days in advance. Many character dining experiences require 2 table service meal credits. If you choose the Quick Service Dining Plan those meal credits will not be redeemable at character dining. It's important to figure out where you'll be spending your time each day, and then book the Advance Dining Reservations for the meals you want. That's an important step too! Dining locations can fill up early, and before you plan on dining at a certain restaurant, make sure that it's actually available to do!
Once you've got your reservations booked, take the time, do the math, and see if a dining plan would be a good idea for your family. If you choose to — and we don't recommend doing this unless you're down to the end of your vacation and still have quite a few entitlements leftover — you may use your Table Service entitlements at Quick Service locations.
It does not, however, work the other way around. Assuming the same 5-night stay used in our example above, we'd have 15 Table Service entitlements, 15 Quick Service entitlements, and 30 snacks. Here's how it would look for us:. Dinner - Everything Pop.
Just as in the Quick Service dining comparison, we'll use the same totals for breakfast each day at Everything Pop.
Firstly — even though this is a buffet, gratuity is customary. This is not included in the tally simply because it's not covered by the Disney Dining Plan. However, you will need to budget for the gratuity. Additionally — when you look at the menu — it can be difficult to get an idea of the price, because a price range is listed on the official Disney website.
For the purposes of this example, we've used the least expensive price in the range. If you'll be visiting during what Disney considers their peak season, plan on having to budget toward the higher end of the range. There are several Signature restaurants and dinner show locations where you can use the Dining Plan, but you'll need to use 2 of your Table Service entitlements per person to dine there.
Meal entitlements redeemed at lunch or dinner will also include one dessert. Disney considers most single-serve items they sell snacks. Everything from a single-serve bottle of soda, to a whole fruit, to an ice cream bar. The list can vary depending on the specific restaurant you are dining at.
All Disney Resort hotels have a self-service soda fountain in their Quick Service restaurant. You can use that mug at your Resort hotel for complimentary refills throughout your stay. You can refill it with Coca-Cola products, tea, coffee, or hot chocolate.
